Florelie Escano will be back at The Spotted Mallard with her ridiculously good-looking band! Prepare yourself to dance to a super soulful and extra funky 90 minute set of original tunes as well as a selection of classics, served up as a tribute to the legends like James Brown, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder.
The whole night will be a celebration of world class funky music starting with a stripped back set from the very talented singer & songwriter, A-Rowe.
In between the live sets, Australia's finest Soul & Funk Ambassador, DJ Miss Goldie, will fill you up with heart-warming and booty shakin' goodness.
FLORELIE ESCANO
Florelie Escano is an independent musician who writes, arranges and produces all of her music at Counter Clockwise Studios with the help of UK Producer, LOTEK. Blessed with a 4-octave vocal powerhouse, her influences include Aretha Franklin, James, Brown, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. Her single releases “Moody Blues” and "Woman Scorned" have enjoyed national airplay (Triple J, PBS, Triple R, etc.) as well as international airplay on some stations in the UK and Europe. "Moody Blues" has also been used very recently in a brand new UK TV comedy show called “Drifters” (an offshoot of “The Inbetweeners”). Florelie is currently recording her debut album with some of the best Melbourne musicians.
